Privacy Policy
At TTGet, we prioritize your privacy and are committed to safeguarding any personal information you provide while using our website. This Privacy Policy outlines the types of information we collect and how we use, share, and protect it. By using our website, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Information We Collect
TTGet does not ask for your personal data. We do not require users to create an account, and no personal information is needed to access or use our services.
- No Personal Information: We do not collect any names, email addresses, or other personally identifiable information.
- Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use Google Analytics 4 to measure anonymous site traffic (it sets first-party
_gacookies, see section 3) and Google AdSense to show ads (see section 4). On pages with a download or check form, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you are not a bot and may set a security cookie. - Error Reports: When a script on our pages fails, a report is sent to Sentry, our error-tracking service, so we can fix it: the error message, the page address without the link you pasted (we remove everything after
?and#), and your browser and device type. We do not send your IP address, the link or any identifier, and Sentry sets no cookies. Reports are kept by Sentry under its Privacy Policy. - Links You Paste: The link you paste is sent to our server to fetch the requested media. It is also saved in a technical log for up to 90 days (see section 5, “What We Store”).
- Download History on Your Device: The download history (up to 50 entries: the link, the post’s title and author, the address of its cover image, when you downloaded it and the number of files) and your light/dark theme choice are stored only in your browser (localStorage) and are never sent to us. Covers in the list load directly from the site that hosts them. You can remove one entry or clear the whole list with its buttons, or clear your browser data.
- Browser extension (desktop only): When our server cannot fetch a link from some sites (such as Instagram, Facebook or Reddit), or for sites that work better through the extension, the download page loads a frame from
app.ttget.com(part of TTGet) that works with the optional ttget browser extension. The frame is loaded only in these cases, on the extension’s welcome page and in a tab the extension opens with media links you sent from it (“Download”), never on mobile. Apart from loading it and the anonymous events below, nothing from the frame reaches our server: with the extension, your browser gets the media directly from the site. See the extension privacy policy. - Anonymous extension events: To measure this feature, the page sends short events to our server: download failed on our server, install suggestion shown, clicked or dismissed, extension detected after install, the result of a download through the extension, a download finished in the extension frame, and whether you allowed the extension to access a site. Each event contains only the event name, the source site’s domain (for example
instagram.com, never the link), your browser name (for example Chrome) and technical details such as an error code, success or failure, duration, the extension version, or the site the extension asked access to and whether you allowed it. We do not store your IP address, user agent, the link or any identifier with these events. These events are kept for up to 90 days. - Extension data on your device: When the extension is suggested to you or you choose to install it, the link you were downloading is kept in localStorage (
ttgetPendingLink) so the extension’s welcome page can download it again; it is deleted when that page opens and ignored after 1 hour. If you choose “Later”, the time of that choice is kept per site (ttgetExtDismiss:<site>) so the suggestion stays short for 3 days. Neither is sent to us. - App install suggestion on your device: If your browser offers to install ttget as an app, we may show one line under a finished download with an install button. If you close it, the time is kept in localStorage (
ttgetPwaDismiss) so it stays hidden for 30 days; it is never sent to us. When the line is shown, the time and the number of times it has been shown are kept in localStorage (ttgetPwaShown), so it appears at most once a week (every two weeks on iPhone and iPad) and, after three times without a click, not for 30 days; this is never sent to us either. The page sends anonymous events when the line is shown, clicked or dismissed and when the app is installed (no personal data).
2. Log Files
Like most websites, TTGet may automatically collect certain non-personally identifiable information that your browser sends when visiting our site. This includes:
- IP Address: We log the IP address of each download request to prevent abuse and fix errors. It is deleted automatically after 90 days (see section 5).
- Browser Type & Version: To ensure our website functions well across all browsers, we may track information about the browser type and version you’re using.
- Access Time & Pages Visited: This information helps us optimize the performance of our site.
Our server logs are not shared with third parties, and they are used solely for the purpose of maintaining and improving our service.
3. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used, for example which pages are viewed, the type of device and browser, the country of visit, and whether a download started. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies whose names start with _ga.
- How Google Uses Data: See How Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Opting Out: You can block Google Analytics in your browser with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
4. Use of Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense to display ads on our site. While we do not track your personal information, Google AdSense may use cookies or other tracking technologies to serve ads that are relevant to you based on your browsing behavior.
- Third-Party Cookies: Ads displayed through Google AdSense may use cookies to show targeted ads. We do not control these cookies and recommend that you review Google’s Privacy Policy for more information on how they collect and use data.
- Opting Out: If you do not want Google to collect information through cookies, you can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ad Settings.
5. Data Security
At TTGet, we are committed to ensuring that your experience is safe and secure:
- SSL Encryption: Our website uses industry-standard SSL encryption to protect data transmitted between your device and our servers.
- No Files Stored: We do not store the videos, photos or files you download.
- What We Store: For each download request we keep a technical log: the link you pasted, your IP address, your browser (user agent), the result or error code and the time. We keep it for up to 90 days to prevent abuse and fix errors, then it is deleted automatically. We do not sell or share it. Anonymous extension events (section 1) are also kept for up to 90 days; they contain no IP address, user agent or link.
6. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to other websites, such as social media platforms or other services. Please note that we are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third-party sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies if you choose to visit them.
7. Changes to Our Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Effective Date.” We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
