Snapchat Video Downloader
Paste a Snapchat Spotlight or public story link above to save the video. Free, fast, and no app or account required.
How to download Snapchat videos
- Copy the Snapchat link. In the Snapchat app, open the Spotlight video, tap Share, then Copy Link. On snapchat.com you can also copy the address from the browser’s address bar.
- Paste it into TTGet. Paste into the box at the top of this page and press Download. If you copied a whole message, TTGet finds the link inside the text automatically.
- Save the video. After a few seconds the video appears with a preview and a download button. Tap it to open or save the file.
What can you download from Snapchat?
TTGet works with what Snapchat shows to anyone on the web, with no login:
- Spotlight videos. The short public videos from Snapchat’s Spotlight feed.
- Public stories. The Snaps (videos and photos) that a creator or public profile shares with everyone.
- Public profiles. A link to a public profile lists the public stories and highlights it shows on its page.
It cannot save anything that Snapchat only shows inside the app or to a limited audience: private stories, Snaps sent in chat, My Eyes Only, or stories that only friends can see. TTGet never asks for your Snapchat password and cannot get around these limits.
Which Snapchat links work?
TTGet accepts the links you get when you share a Snap or open one on the web:
- Spotlight links
snapchat.com/spotlight/…, with or without extra parameters such as?share_id=…. - Spotlight links with a username
snapchat.com/@username/spotlight/…, the address a Spotlight link turns into in a browser. - Short share links
snapchat.com/t/…andt.snapchat.com/…, the form the app’s Copy Link button usually gives you. - Public profile links
snapchat.com/@usernameandsnapchat.com/add/username. - Story links from public stories, for example
snapchat.com/@username/stories.
A link has to point to something public. If you paste a link to a Snap that you can only open in the Snapchat app, TTGet has nothing to save.
Videos, photos and stories
Snapchat gives TTGet one file per Snap, so the results are simple. Each Snap appears as one row with a small preview and one button, named Story 1, Story 2 and so on. The button names stay in English in every language.
- A Spotlight link gives a single video: one preview and one Story 1 button that saves it as an MP4 file in portrait format.
- A public profile gives one row for every public Snap it shows, so a busy account can produce a long list. Scroll to the row you want.
- Snaps that are photos are saved as an image (JPG), not a video. The button looks the same, and the small icon next to the name shows whether it is a video or a photo.
- The post’s author and description are shown under the results, with buttons to copy the description or a link back to this page.
Next to each download button there is a small Copy link button. Use it if you want to paste the file address into a chat or a download manager.
Why use TTGet for Snapchat?
- Spotlight and public stories. One page for the Snapchat content that is public on the web.
- Free and unlimited. No fees, subscriptions or daily limits.
- No app or sign-up. Everything runs in your browser on iPhone, Android, Windows, Mac and Linux, and you never enter your Snapchat login.
- Straight from Snapchat. The button opens the file on Snapchat’s own servers; TTGet does not re-encode it.
- Private. We don’t keep a history of the links you paste or the files you save.
Download Snapchat videos on iPhone
Open ttget.com in Safari, paste the link and tap the Story 1 button. The video opens in a new tab. If Safari asks whether to download the file, tap Download; it is saved to the Files app in the Downloads folder. Otherwise tap Share in the player, then Save Video to put it in Photos.
Download Snapchat videos on Android
Open ttget.com in Chrome, paste the link and tap Story 1. The file either downloads right away or opens in a new tab: in that case press and hold the video and choose Download video, or use the three-dot menu and Download. The file is saved to your Downloads folder and shows up in your gallery.
Download Snapchat videos on a computer
On snapchat.com, open the Spotlight video and copy the address from the address bar, or paste a link someone sent you. Paste it into the box above and click the download button. The video opens in a new tab. Right-click it and choose Save video as…, or use the three-dot menu in the player and Download. Photos open in a new tab as well: right-click and Save image as….
Snapchat link not working? Common problems
- The Snap is no longer available. Spotlight videos and stories can be removed by their creator, and stories also expire. Open the link in a browser: if snapchat.com says the Snap is gone, TTGet cannot save it. Copy a fresh link from the app.
- The share link is old. Short links
snapchat.com/t/…stop working once the Snap behind them is removed or expired. Copy the link again from the Snapchat app. - The profile has no public stories. A public profile only lists what it publishes for everyone. If it shows no stories, highlights or Spotlight on snapchat.com, there is nothing to download.
- The Snap is private or in chat. Snaps sent to you, private stories and friends-only stories can only be seen inside the app. TTGet can’t download them.
- An error message appears. Snapchat sometimes answers slowly or refuses a request for a moment. Press Try again in the message; the next attempt often works.
- The download button stopped working. The file links Snapchat gives are only valid for a limited time. If you left the page open for a while, paste the Snapchat link again to get fresh ones.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Snapchat downloader free?
Yes. TTGet is completely free, with no limit on how many videos you save.
Do I need a Snapchat account or the app?
No. You only need a link to a public Spotlight video or public story, and you never type your Snapchat login on TTGet.
Can I download Snapchat Spotlight videos?
Yes. Paste the Spotlight link, with or without a username in the address, and save the video from the Story 1 button.
Can I download someone’s private story or a Snap sent to me in chat?
No. TTGet only saves content that Snapchat shows publicly on the web. Private stories, friends-only stories, chat Snaps and My Eyes Only are not available to it.
Can I download a whole public profile?
A public profile link lists the public Snaps that its page shows, each with its own download button. You save them one at a time. Profiles with no public stories, highlights or Spotlight give a “not found” message.
Why does my Snapchat link say the video was not found?
The Snap may have been deleted, may have expired, or may be visible only in the app. Open the link in a browser to check, then copy a new link from the Snapchat app and try again.
Why is the file a photo and not a video?
Some Snaps are photos. TTGet shows them with an image icon and saves them as JPG files.
Is it legal to download Snapchat videos?
Saving for personal use is generally fine, but the content belongs to its creator. Don’t re-upload or use it commercially without permission. See our disclaimer.
