How to download Douyin music as MP3

Copy the Douyin link. In the Douyin app, tap Share (分享) on the video or photo post, then Copy link (复制链接). The copied text usually includes a short description; you can paste all of it.
Paste it into TTGet. Paste into the box at the top of this page and press Download.
Save the audio. After a few seconds the download options appear. Choose Audio Only to save just the sound of the post.

TTGet finds the link inside the share text by itself, so there is nothing to clean up before you paste. The same result also lists the video without a watermark, so one link gives you both the clip and its music.

Which Douyin links work?

The links you get when someone shares a Douyin post work for audio just as they do for video:

Share text from the app, for example 7.43 复制打开抖音，看看… https://v.douyin.com/xxxxxx/. Paste it as it is: TTGet uses the first link in the text and ignores the rest.
Short links v.douyin.com/…, the form the app’s Copy link button gives you.
Web links douyin.com/video/… for videos and douyin.com/note/… for photo posts, copied from the address bar on douyin.com.
Links with modal_id=, which douyin.com shows when you open a video from the feed, search or a profile.
iesdouyin.com/share/video/… or /share/note/…, the address a short link turns into when you open it in a browser.

A link has to point to one post. A profile page, a live stream, a music page (the page that lists every video using a sound) or the Douyin home page has no single post to save, so open a post that uses the sound and copy its link.

What Audio Only gives you

Audio Only saves the sound Douyin attaches to the post: the creator’s original sound, a voice-over, or the song the video uses. The button name stays in English in every language, and it appears only when Douyin provides a sound for the post.

File type. The file is saved as Douyin serves it, without converting it again. Most Douyin sounds are MP3 files; some come as M4A. Both play in the music apps of iPhone, Android, Windows and Mac.
Quality. TTGet does not re-encode the audio, so you get the same quality Douyin streams in the app. It does not promise a particular bitrate.
Length. For an original sound, you get the whole sound. For a commercial song, Douyin usually provides the excerpt used in videos, not the full track.
File name. The file name contains the post’s number, the word music and ttget.com, so it is easy to find in your downloads folder.

Music from Douyin photo posts

Douyin photo posts (图文, slideshows of pictures with music) work too, and the music is often what people want from them. Paste the link of the photo post as you would for a video. The result starts with Audio Only for the background music, then the Cover image, then one row per picture with Photo No Watermark ver (1), Photo No Watermark ver (2) and so on. These are copies of the same picture from different servers; if one does not open, try the next.

Download Douyin music on iPhone

Open ttget.com in Safari, paste the share text and tap Audio Only. Safari asks whether to download the file; tap Download. The audio is saved in the Files app, in the Downloads folder, where you can play it or share it to another app.

The Photos app only takes pictures and videos, so audio files stay in Files: there is no Save to Photos button for Audio Only. That button appears next to videos and pictures, and saves them straight to Photos.

Download Douyin music on Android

Open ttget.com in Chrome, paste the share text and tap Audio Only. The file is saved to your Downloads folder and opens in any music player. Videos saved from the same result appear in your gallery app.

Download Douyin music on a computer

On douyin.com, open the video or photo post and copy the address from the browser’s address bar, or paste a link someone sent you. Paste it into the box above and click Audio Only. The button shows its progress while the file downloads, then your browser saves it to the Downloads folder.

Douyin MP3 or TikTok MP3?

Douyin audio not downloading? Common problems

There is no Audio Only button. It appears only when Douyin provides a sound for the post. A sound removed for copyright reasons, or a post whose music Douyin doesn’t share, has no audio to save. Save the video instead and extract the sound with an editor on your device.
The post is private, deleted or restricted. TTGet can only save posts that anyone can watch. Open the link in a browser: if the post doesn’t play there, it can’t be downloaded.
The link doesn’t point to a post. Profiles, music pages, live streams and the home page can’t be downloaded. Open a post and copy its own link.
The link was cut off. If you copied only part of the share text, the short link may be incomplete. Tap Share, then Copy link again and paste the whole text.
An error message appears. Douyin sometimes answers slowly or refuses a request for a moment. Press Try again in the message; the next attempt often works.
The download fails. If a Backup link appears under Didn’t work?, use it. Download links are also only valid for a limited time: if you left the page open for a while, paste the Douyin link again to get fresh ones.
The song is shorter than expected. For commercial songs, Douyin provides the excerpt used in videos, not the full track. TTGet can’t make it longer.
